You can call us anytime, but we’ll reach out at important milestones in your feeding journey. We do home visits ! You also can borrow a breast pump or baby scale, and attend classes.

Expecting ? Consider enrolling with KINDNESS!

Contact us if you would like an individual prenatal consult to discuss any particular concerns or questions about infant feeding…OR…ask your Kodiak clinic, midwife or WIC Program for our enrollment packet which includes a pre-addressed, stamped envelope you can drop in the mail to us. Free online prenatal classes are offered by Providence; contact the Education Department at 907-481-2475 to register. Free in-person breastfeeding classes (taught by Heather Preece, IBCLC) are offered at PKIMC at 5:30 pm on the 3rd Wednesday of odd-numbered months. Call 907-539-2660 for more information! Whether pre-registered or not, all families who deliver at PKIMC are offered KINDNESS enrollment before they take their little ones home.

Sweep into Fall, Kodiak!

KINDNESS is planning another scaled up Caring for Alaska community clean-up, sponsored by Matson, Island Trails Network, Kodiak Aududon, and Credit Union 1. We hope to exponentially magnify our impact on the environment, strengthen KINDNESS for the future, bring different sectors of the community together, and have a lot of fun doing it! Sign up online to get instructions, stop by CU1 to get a bag and safety vest, then go pick trash anytime/anywhere from Oct 16-25…and/or join us for BLITZ DAY on Oct 26th 10am-2pm at Bayside Fire Station!

Caring for Alaska

Kodiak KINDNESS partners with Matson to help clean up Kodiak Island beaches, watersheds, and trails.

 

Crawl the Rock

Babies line up with a caregiver to crawl/toddle down the short race course. Friends and relatives from near or far can sponsor a baby and watch race footage afterward.

The Milk Run

The Kodiak KINDNESS Milk Run/Walk “pick-your-own-distance” options and includes a “littles” foot race for toddlers and preschoolers.
